『The Curse of the Last Reaper』는 4개 에피소드로 구성된 『[The Rise of the Golden Idol](https://guji.jjme.me/the-rise-of-the-golden-idol/)』의 콘텐츠 팩 『[Detective Pass](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3333860/The%5FRise%5Fof%5Fthe%5FGolden%5FIdol%5F%5FDetective%5FPass/?ref=guji.jjme.me)』의 마지막 에피소드입니다. 『[The Age of Restraint](https://guji.jjme.me/golden-idol-investigations-the-age-of-restraint/)』를 다룬 포스팅 때 마지막으로 출시될 에피소드가 기대된다고 썼는데 정작 나오자마자 해 놓고 포스팅을 안 올렸더라고요. 그럴 정도로 그 때 포스팅이 넘쳐났나….

마지막 에피소드는 장르의 시조라 불릴 법한 『[오브라 딘 호의 귀환](https://store.steampowered.com/app/653530/Return%5Fof%5Fthe%5FObra%5FDinn/?ref=guji.jjme.me)』을 오마쥬하듯 뱃사람을 소재로 삼았습니다. 시간을 넘나들며 과거와 현재에 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는지 찾아내는 건 이 시리즈가 매번 그러하듯 잘 만들었습니다. 해적 테마가 주는 익숙한 분위기도 마음에 들고, 황금 우상 시리즈가 주는 초현실적 기괴함 역시 잘 살아있습니다.

특히 선상반란을 다룬 장면은 아무래도 오브라 딘 생각을 안 할 수가 없습니다. 오브라 딘과 조금 다른, 황금 우상의 방식으로 묘사되는 거친 배와 극한 상황, 선상반란과 합리적 이성으로 설명하기 어려운 괴이한 사건. 이것들을 즐길 수 있는 재미있는 DLC입니다.
